The feeding of wildlife in Teton County is strictly prohibited. This includes supplying attractants that are human food, pet food, hay, forage product or supplement, grain, seed, salt licks, birdseed, garbage or salt licks to the following animals:
Pay special attention to your garbage. Refuse and recycle containers and dumpsters are required to be bear resistant in areas designated as Conflict Area 1. To find out if your property is within this designated area, go to the geographic information system (GIS). Areas within the Town of Jackson, Melody Ranches or Rafter J subdivision are not required to have bear resistant containers.
