The Clerk of District Court Office will be open on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 12:00pm until 4:00pm for the 3rd Annual Sunday Passport Application Day.
In order to provide an additional opportunity outside of the normal 8:00am to 4:30pm application hours Monday through Friday, the Clerk of District Court Office is partnering with the Teton County Sheriff’s Office to accept applications on Sunday, January 27, 2019.
This date was selected to provide ample time for passport application processing, which is generally 4 to 6 weeks, prior to Spring Break near the end of March. Expedited processing is available for an additional $60 or more per application. Expedited processing usually reduces processing time by about 2 to 3 weeks.
Arriving with completed applications will streamline time at the Clerk of District Court Office, and application forms can be downloaded here: www.travel.state.gov.
In addition, it is important to confirm required materials for application (checks, money orders, original birth certificates, etc.). Visit www.tetoncountywy.gov/codc, call 307-733-2533, or visit www.travel.state.gov for more details.
Finally, passport applications for children under the age of 16 generally require the presence of both parents and child.
The Teton County Clerk of District Court Office has been notified by the Department of State that the current federal government shutdown should not affect passport application times. Applicants can consult www.travel.state.gov or call the Clerk of District Court Office to confirm current processing times (307-733-2533).
