Temporary Food License Information:
- Temporary Food Licenses are required if you will be preparing or serving food at a temporary event in Teton County.
- Licenses are good for one location and cannot exceed 14 days in length.
- Each license costs $50.00 and there is a $25.00 late fee if the application is not submitted 14 days before the event.
Information that will determine if you need a license:
- What types of food will be served?
- What entity is making the food?
- Is the event private or public?
- Where is the food prepared?
- Where will the food be served?
- Who grows the food?
How to apply for a temporary event permit:
- Call Environmental Health staff at 307-732-8490 to ensure you need a permit.
- Review the Temporary Food Service Establishment Guidelines
- Take the Food Handler class online or in person and pass the exam for certification.
- Fill out the Temporary Food Application and attach certification of food handler or manager certification.
- Bring the application and payment ($50.00) to Environmental Health at 460 E Pearl in Jackson at least 14 days prior to the event.
Coming from out of state?
- If you are bringing food from your establishment in another state you are required to get a Wyoming Food Distributors license. This requires a copy of your food license from your state and a copy of your latest inspection report.
