Motor Vehicle Registration

**Standard license plates and vehicle registrations are obtained through the local county treasurer's office in the county seat of the county of residence. 

All motor vehicles for use on the highways of the state; owned by non-residents and remaining in the state for longer than 120 days in a 12-month period; or belonging to a person who becomes a resident of the state, MUST REGISTER THEIR VEHICLE(S) IN WYOMING. Immediate registration is required if a vehicle is operated for gain or profit, or if owner becomes employed.

Please note: Wyoming plates belong to you, remove them when you sell the vehicle.
