Local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) programs train and organize teams of volunteers to assist their families, neighbors, co-workers, and other community members during emergencies when professional responders may not be immediately available to provide assistance.
Teton County Emergency Management is the sponsoring organization for the Teton County Community Emergency Response Team. Community members who have taken the time to go through a 32-hour CERT Basic Training course are eligible to join Teton County CERT. The Teton County CERT program provides continuing education, skills practice, team building activities, and opportunities for members to deploy to planned events and real-world emergencies in the county.
The next CERT Basic Training course is planned for September/October 2023. The training involves a mix of classroom lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities. Topics covered include:
Upon successful completion of the four-day course, participants will have the opportunity to join the Teton County Community Emergency Response Team.
