Does the name “Nixle” ring a bell? If so, you might be registered for Teton County Emergency Management’s legacy public alerting system which will be retired as of January 1, 2026. The upgraded system, Teton_WY Alerts, has been live since February of 2024.
Teton_WY Alerts is one of the primary ways local officials share life-safety information and protective action instructions—whether for a wildfire evacuation, an extended power outage, a hazardous materials spill, or another emergency situation.
“Teton_WY Alerts is a capable platform that will better serve our community in times of disaster by delivering information straight to subscribers’ phones, emails, or other devices,” said Rich Ochs, Teton County Emergency Manager. “I hope every household in Teton County registers at least one person for Teton_WY Alerts before the New Year.”
