Northern South Park Zoning Tools Available for Public Review and Comment

NSP Neighborhood Plan

Today, the Teton County Planning and Building Services Department released the public draft of zoning tools (regulations) for the Northern South Park Neighborhood Plan implementation project.  These zoning regulations create new sections within the County’s Land Development Regulations (LDRs) that describe the requirements for the development process, design standards, and housing program for future development within Northern South Park.   The new draft LDRs follow the vision that was created within the Neighborhood Plan adopted on July 5, 2022 at the Teton County Board of County Commissioners hearing (the plan can be viewed  at

The public is invited to the public hearings on the draft zoning regulations; the first public hearing will be at 6:00 p.m. on November 13, 2023, during a regular County Planning Commission meeting. This is when the County review process begins and information, background, and what’s included within the draft LDRs will be presented and discussed. The public can participate in person or via a Zoom link, which will be provided on the Planning Commission’s agenda. Written comments may also be submitted. The Planning Commission will likely hold multiple meetings on this item. Once the Planning Commission has reviewed the matter and made a formal recommendation, it will go to the Teton County Board of County Commissioners for their review in January 2024.

The public can begin reviewing and commenting on the draft LDRs now by visiting http://jacksontetonplan.com/340/Subarea-56-Northern-South-Park-Neighborh. The County is using a document engagement tool called Konveio, which allows the public to comment directly on the document from the County’s website. The review and public comment period will be open through the public hearing process and will conclude following the Teton County Board of County Commissioners meeting in January. An exact date for that meeting has yet to be determined.
