Patrick McGaugh is a Career Public Service Leader

Teton County has selected Patrick McGaugh as its new General Services Director, overseeing the county’s internal service functions including Facilities, Information Technology, the Fair and Fairgrounds, and the Justice Center project. Mr. McGaugh’s first day is today.

 

Mr. McGaugh offers more than 20 years of public-sector leadership experience in operations, facilities management, procurement, and complex project delivery. He joins Teton County from Grand Teton National Park, where he most recently served as the park’s Commercial Services Lead. 

 

In that role, Patrick managed one of the largest commercial services programs in the National Park Service, overseeing 26 concession contracts and 175 commercial use authorizations. He directed program staffing and capital planning for more than 600 park-owned, commercially operated assets. Additionally, he implemented the park’s COVID‑19 response for commercial partners operating within the park.

 

Mr. McGaugh previously worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District, where he managed more than $100 million in construction projects across Germany, Italy, Turkey, Romania, and Poland in support of high priority Department of Defense initiatives.

 

Mr. McGaugh holds an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
