Community Prevention

The CPCTC's purpose is to promote the health of people living in Teton County. The prevention coalition is a combination of concerned citizens, schools, health care, law enforcement, businesses, faith leaders, local government, and youth-serving organizations who have come together to work collaboratively toward the common goal of building a safe, healthy, and vibrant community whose culture encourages connectivity and wellbeing.

Through prevention efforts we can stop substance use before it begins, particularly among youth and adolescents. Prevention helps people develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to make good choices or change harmful behaviors. By targeting shared risk and protective factors, we are able to build community networks that care, improving health and safety.

0 drinks if you're driving: Never drink and drive. Keep yourself and others safe by staying sober behind the wheel.
