Parkside at Benson-Brown Station
Under Construction: Parkside at Benson-Brown Station
Parkside at Benson -Brown Station is the newest partnership between Teton County & Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Region (Teton Habitat) and will create 18 homes for local families and individuals. This development is multi-faceted with three major components: Affordable housing construction, historic restoration, and rerouting the Cache Creek Ditch.
Affordable Housing Construction: Teton County is providing Teton Habitat with a long-term ground lease of the property. In return, Teton Habitat is constructing 18 townhomes that will serve households earning less than 80% of median family income.
Historic Restoration: This 1.08-acre property located at 445 E. Kelly Avenue is the site of the first hydropower plant in Teton County. In recognition of the site's historic significance, Teton County via the Housing Department is restoring the Brown Cabin and relocating it to the southeast corner of the property. The historic water turbines have also been brought above-grade and will be used as part of a future educational display.
- A Request for Proposals (RFP) in search of a design-build team to remodel the Benson cabin at 445 E Kelly Avenue so it can again be used as a home—this time for Teton County employees - was released January 6, 2026. The response deadline is February 6, 2026 at 5pm. Access the RFP here.
- Two responses to the RFP were submitted by the deadline.
Cache Creek Ditch: The ditch will be rerouted through Mike Yokel Park, allowing the public access to this water amenity and providing a natural barrier between the park and the new homes.
This is the sixth partnership development with Teton Habitat. Learn more about these partnerships that have already created 47 homes for local families.
