Christmas Tree Composting
Don't trash that tree – compost it for free!
After the holidays, give your tree a second life. Teton County and the Town of Jackson offer free Christmas tree drop-off so your natural tree can be recycled into mulch and compost.
Trees must be free of decorations, lights, tinsel, and stands.
Collected trees are processed locally, helping reduce landfill waste and support sustainable landscaping across the community.
NEW SCHEDULE for 2026!
- Drop clean trees until Sunday, Jan. 11, at Rodeo Grounds in designated spot.
- Bring them the entire month for free to the Teton County Trash Transfer Station, through Jan. 31.
*All Christmas trees must be cleaned of lights, ornaments and tinsel.
