Mountain View Meadows is a housing community located in the heart of Jackson and has the distinction of being the first deed restricted affordable housing neighborhood in Teton County. It is divided into three properties: Rangeview, Blair and Whitehouse.
In cooperation with the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust (JHCHT), July, 1992, Teton County Housing Authority (TCHA) negotiated the terms of a purchase of real property located off of South Park Loop Road. TCHA paid one third of the purchase price with the Housing Trust paying the balance. TCHA then purchased the remaining two thirds of the parcel from the Housing Trust. The 36 unit development is located upon land that is retained by the Teton County Housing Authority but is leased to the Housing Trust on a 99 year term. The Housing Trust subleases the underlying ground to unit owners and is responsible for enforcing the terms restricting occupancy, sales of units and maintenance of all exterior and common areas.
The homes of Mountain View Meadows are a collection of 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and 3-Bedroom units and all include a laundry, garage and yard. The neighborhood consists of mainly single family dwellings located near a large public park, bike path, close proximity to schools, places of worship, public transportation access and minutes from downtown Jackson.
